Help Adrian Fight Cancer

Hello friends,

Today I come to you to ask for your help. My very good friend Anna recently found out that her son Adrian, who is the same age as Naomi (18) has stage 2 Hodgkin Lymphoma. It started in his neck and now runs down across his entire chest. Due to the location and size of the tumor, removal is not an option at this point. This week Wednesday he started his first round of what will likely be 12 rounds of Chemotherapy (every other week). The first round went well for him, and the family is in good spirits. Here is where I need your help.

As time goes on, the treatments will have more of an impact on his body, meaning he will need more support at home. Anna has been absolutely AMAZING so far. Coming into work when she can while managing appointments for her son, checking in on him, all while teaching some of our littlest learners.

Anna has FAITH like I have never seen in my life. She has complete confidence in God and knows that there is a plan. Even with that, there is just an incredible amount of stress being put on her. She needs to come to work while she can, but will quickly run out of sick days.

NO PARENT SHOULD HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN STAYING HOME WITH THEIR SICK CHILD, OR HAVING A PAYCHECK.

I have already talked to Anna and I have a plan to cut 1 inch of my hair for every round of chemo he has to endure. This is not my first go around with someone very close to me having been impacted by cancer. This time it hit even closer to home with Adrian being the same age as my own daughter. I would like to cut my hair by the first of the year, so I can present Anna with some money, so she doesn't go into the new year stressed about coming back to work right away if she is not able. If her son needs her, she needs to be home without worry.

If you know me you know that I am always wanting and willing to help people in any way that I can . I am praying for her, but right now I felt like I needed to do a little bit more.
