Help me march my age out!
Donation protected
Hello to my color guard friends and family! I have been given the wonderful opportunity to march my age out this summer with the Boston Crusaders Color Guard. I’m currently a full-time student at the University of Central Florida majoring in clinical psychology. Since being in color guard, I have made endless friendships and connections with my teammates, coaches, and students. I have also had the privilege to hear about some of their life experiences outside of the activity's realm. Behind all the glitter and performance, it’s easy to forget that everyone has a story worth being listened to and understood. Experiences throughout my years in this activity have inspired me to become a mental health therapist to help individuals and groups navigate through their most challenging circumstances.
The biggest lesson I have learned being in color guard is that having a creative outlet and access to community is so important in one’s life. Having a place you know you can go to and be understood by your peers. Having a place to go where you can be unapologetically who you are. So I’m asking for your help in hopes of experiencing it one last time :’)
