I'm trying to start up a youth MTB league in the Las Vegas area to participate in NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association)
NICA exists to provide every student athlete a chance to develop a strong body, strong mind and strong character through interscholastic cycling.
I just want to get our youth outside doing cool stuff. There are so many of our kids who fall through "athletic cracks" and feel they don't fit into traditional school team sports. It's no secret the countless benefits of staying active and being part of a team. I want to help kids increase their confidence, learn to push themselves, experience success, develop a love of the outdoors and recreation, and support their piers in doing the same. Mountain biking is a way of accomplishing these same goals and it allows me to get involved.
Starting something from the ground up is a huge undertaking and I can use all the help I can get.
So if you live in southern Nevada and have kids that are interested in mountain biking please get in touch. If you don't live in Nevada but know someone that does please share this with them. If neither of those apply to you then please share this anyway in hopes that someone who relates to this might see it.
