My brother Recardo and his wife Jessie have endured some of the most painful things that could happen to any family. In March 2015, their 14 year old son Kymani was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma cancer. After 11 months of chemotherapy twice a week, Kymani has been given a clean bill of health and is cancer free! The family is truly thankful for his recovery. However, his care required mom to miss work often and in the process, incurred thousands of dollars in medical bills.
On February 24, 2016, the same day Kymani received his clean bill of health their 17 month old daughter Rylie, was admitted to Children's Hospital with swollen lymph nodes and a high fever. Two days later she was placed in a medically induced coma with no precise diagnosis. The following day, Rylie’s kidneys started to fail. On March 2nd, all of Rylie’s major organs were failing. She was placed on EMCO to support her heart and lungs. About a week later she was diagnosed with HLH, a rare autoimmune disease, and started chemotherapy treatment right away.
Sadly, on March 21st, at 18 months old, my beautiful, sassy, fun, and energetic niece became Gods newest angel. We miss her dearly but are thankful for the time we had with her. She kept us busy, talking and laughing.
My brother and sister in-law are anticipating another hefty medical bill and funeral expenses for Rylie. The family is asking if you could find it in your heart to keep us in your prayers and thoughts. Additionally, if you are able to make a donation to go towards their medical expenses, it would be greatly appreciated. There is no donation amount too small. We thank you for all your support and may God bless you.
