About the film:

Set against the backdrop of Ireland’s longest river, The River

Shannon, this coming-of-age comedy follows four close friends

on a summer boat trip through idyllic villages, ancient ruins, and

unexpected adventures. Along the way, they meet quirky locals

and find themselves in a series of hilarious and heartfelt

situations. The river setting brings a fresh, distinctly Irish twist to

the classic road-trip genre.

At the heart of the story is Connor, whose journey takes a serious

turn when an old Tweet resurfaces, triggering an online backlash.

As he faces the fallout of cancel culture in real time, the group

must confront questions of friendship, accountability, and

growing up in the digital age.

About the team

Daniel Carley (Director/Writer) started telling stories through his YouTube car videos and is now focused on making his first feature film, driven by passion and strong storytelling.

DJ Maggie Rocks (Producer) brings years of film industry experience and a natural storytelling gift, inspired by filmmakers who built their careers from the ground up.

Silvia Xiaoyu Wang (Production Coordinator) combines business experience with creative skills as an actor and model, helping us run a professional and credible production.

Dylan Cahill (Co-Producer) recently graduated with a BA in film from Maynooth, and has hands-on experience producing and editing short films, eager to help this project succeed and create opportunities for others.
