Remembrance & Support - Orville
Donation protected
In the last week of April, our northern Michigan family lost a very special person. Orville Mitchell grew up in the small town of Gwinn, Michigan. He laughed and loved in the land of the Great Lakes. He served our armed forces and like many veterans, struggled with civilian lifestyle. The harsh realities of life impacted Orville. Traumatic experiences changed his reality and shaped how he percieved himself. Orville's disposition was left untreated and it ultimately overwhelmed him.
Orville was a warmhearted and thoughtful man. He was capable of creating deep relationships and connected with people on a very personal level. He had a passion for poetry and would often showcase his ability to wordsmith among his friends and family. His uneven smile was disarming and he carried an uncanny compassion for someone who had experienced the rough edges of life.
Orville's family grieves. They are currently focusing on funeral preparations and would not consider asking for this kind of support. His wife - Tamara, and three children, carry on his memory and will be challenged with navigating life without our dear friend.
As one of our own, I humbly ask for your contribution to support Orville's family. In addition to or in lieu of flowers, please consider honoring his memory by donating to support his family and funeral arrangements.
Please also remember Orville for the many moments of compassion he shared with you. Lift a drink in his memory, grab a friend and dance around the fire, embrace the painted sunset and think of him. He influences you even now and would want you to celebrate his life.
In the very spirit of our lost brother, his favorite quote reads:
"It is not noble to be superior to another. What is truly noble is to be superior to one's former self."
Thank you for your consideration.
Godbless.
