Support Gus's Fight for Recovery

Donation protected
On Monday, March 10th, my families life shifted. My brother, Gus, was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle and we are now seeing his true resilience. The injuries from this incident are extensive, but Gus is still fighting a courageous battle in a critical care unit.

Gus is a father of two terrific children, a loving husband of 22 years, a brilliant mechanical engineer, and the most humble and kind guy we know.

After being examined in his home city, Gus was flown to a trauma hospital in Indianapolis. He was initially assessed and the medical team found he had broken his arm from the wrist to the shoulder, had a broken jaw in two places, and broken ribs. So far, Gus has undergone 4 surgeries that placed a rod in his arm, pins in his wrist and plates in two places of his jaw and shoulder. Despite wearing his helmet, his MRI showed that he has a grade 3 DAI brain injury in which he has not woken up from yet. Gus is strong and continues to fight everyday!

Donations to this cause will go towards medical bills, travel for Gus’s family, and to fill any gaps in sustaining the life Gus and Amber have built together, helping us bridge the financial gap and support Gus's family during this challenging time.

Thank you for considering supporting Gus and his family during this critical period. Please continue to pray or send positive thoughts for us all, as your love and support mean the world to us.
