On Tuesday April 25, 2017, Michelle Royal was diagnosed with stage 2 grade 3 (infilterating ductal carcinoma) breast cancer, also affecting several lymph nodes. The cancer has moved/grown very fast in the past 6 months, currently leaving one of her largest tumors at half a dollar size (5cm+). 
On May 22, 2017, Michelle received terrible news. Her cancer is spreading so fast now moving her stage into stage 4 terminal (invasive) and HER-2 positive. They found 5 tumors in her lungs, and she no longer qualifies for surgery. The Dr. told Michelle basically you are racing a tortoise with a cheetah, unfortunately you have the cheetah in this race and you want the tortoise. Michelle has a total of 13 tumors, and as many as 9-10 lymph nodes affected.
Michelle has undergone many test/apts daily. She is getting biopsies, a full brain scan and much more ever day. In 1 month this cancer has spread rapidly.
Michelle is 46, a single mother of 3, ages 25, 18, and 12. She is also a loving grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters ages 3 & 1, as well as a sister of 5. During Michelle's last marriage (years ago), she helped raise her ex-husband's daughter Caiyle (who is now 15). Michelle still considers her as one of her own. Her two oldest kids have moved off to start their life's as adults, as her youngest daughter Alyssa, is still under full time care of her mother. 
Due to the nature of cancer, Michelle is no longer available to work and provide the things Alyssa needs. Due to the loss of income, Michelle has Medicare and they will be covering majority of these treatments and surgeries, as long as Michelle can maintain her place of residence. The loss of income is not covered by any disability through her last employer. Insurance doesn't pay to keep her bills up, take care of her daughter, keep a roof over their head and other amenities she will need through this long journey/fight she is about to go through. 
Cancer is such a scary word. You never really know about it, until if affects someone you truly love. Michelle is a fighter and there is no doubt she won't fight this mean machine in her body.
Michelle has a hard time asking for help when she really needs it, but she is definitely in that time of her life that she could use all the help she can get. That's why I, her niece, have set up this go fund me account to ask for help.
Let's be honest, money isn't everything in this world, family and love is( that's what we believe), and we have so much of that as well as a huge support team, but when your life is put to the test and on the line, money is something you need to seek help. 
Cancer introduces so many unknowns, but what we do know is that Michelle needs to spend this time fighting this aggressive cancer for her health, and spend time with her kids and grand daughters that she adores. That's what she wants. 
Money donated will go towards Michelle's medical expenses, keeping up with the little bills she has to keep her house and insurance, and to help take care of her youngest daughter Alyssa. As well as allowing Michelle to live the rest of her life.
Michelle is ready to fight, she is so strong and she will KICK CANCERS ASS Y'ALL!!!
