Dear Family, Friends, and Compassionate Strangers,

On Thursday, October 3rd, my brother Nick Petit was admitted to IU Health Hospital in Indianapolis and diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. AML is a rapidly progressing cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

Straightaway Nick declared he would be winning this battle, there are simply no other options. Immediately after diagnosis he began chemotherapy, spending 24 days in the Simon Cancer Center. Since then he has completed two additional rounds of chemo with two left to go.

Nick has been unable to work since treatment has started and is in need of assistance paying upcoming bills. We are asking our community for support in helping him pay for his rent, miscellaneous medical expenses, and his insurance deductible (resetting on January 1st). If you are able, even $5 would help.

More than anything Nick wants a return to normalcy, getting back to his routine of going to work and school, cooking, playing games with his friends, and hanging out with his family. Your support means the world to us. Thank you and much love.
