Hi everyone, my name is Jeanette, and I’m raising funds for my 7-month-old kitten, Zora. She’s a sweet and loving British Shorthair who has brought so much joy and comfort into my life.

A week ago, I noticed that something wasn’t right — Zora stopped eating, became very tired, and her tummy started to swell. I rushed her to the emergency vet, where they told me her symptoms were very likely caused by FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a rare but often fatal viral disease in cats.

The emergency visit alone cost $400, and I was quoted $4,300 for full diagnostic testing, which I simply couldn’t afford as a part-time student. The next day, I took her to her regular vet for a full check-up and bloodwork, which cost $600. Her blood results strongly suggest FIP, and I was advised to start treatment immediately.

Zora’s treatment medication will cost around $650, and she’ll need follow-up bloodwork after two weeks, which is estimated to be another $500. These funds will go directly toward her medication and veterinary care to help her fight this disease and recover fully.

This fundraiser means so much to me because Zora isn’t just a pet — she’s my companion, my little source of happiness, and family. Seeing her sick has been heartbreaking, but I want to do everything I can to give her a fighting chance.
