Jackie STRONG fundraiser for Jackie Plemons
Hi, my name is Linda and I am fundraising for my best friend, Jackie Rothschild Plemons
Jackie was recently diagnosed with a very rare cancer know as uterine adeno carcinoma. So rare that there are no doctors who specialize in this type of cancer in the State of Arizona and few nationally. She underwent a successful surgery to remove the tumor but was sent to Texas to see one of the few doctors familiar with treatment of this cancer. She will need to undergo full chemo for 4 months and will be unable to work full time, if at all.
For those of you that know her, she has been through so much, lost everything and climbed back with the strength and grace unlike anything I’ve ever seen. She and the love of her life were married 3 years ago, saved like crazy, started a new business and were finally able to save enough to put a deposit on a new house. Now they are at risk of losing her long awaited place to call home. The house is merely a small fraction of what is at stake.
As a self employed family, when unable to work, there is no back up for day to day bills, food and the ever mounting medical expenses. Nor is short or long-term disability available. Add to that, the complexity of her cancer and the need to receive treatment that is not readily available. Her life’s mission is and has been to help others. She and her company have helped many find meaningful employment and I know she would like nothing more than to be well and get back to doing what she loves. Simultaneous with Jackie’s diagnosis, Mike also had some health issues, which he is now recovering from. They say you aren’t given more than you can handle, but she has thrown up the proverbial white flag.
Please help me, help her, understand that it’s ok to take care of herself and put herself first for a change. Let’s give her the financial support they need so she can find the strength to fight this ugly cancer with the grace and strength I know she is capable of.
She will begin chemo on 6/21/21 and I pray we can give her financial peace of mind.
