Time to live my dream.

You wonderful folks have reached and surpassed our goal in such an amazing way!! Thank you thank you so so much!! You'll never know how much your kindness and caring means to us.
I had a dream once. And was working towards it. Then my body said nope and quit working. So I gave up on the dream, thinking it would never happen as slowly, steadily, my health keeps declining.
Over the past several years we've had some ups and many, many downs in life. Some because of poor choices we've made. Others through no fault of our own. Some because we believed too much in the goodness and kindness of others.
Then, my son recently had an idea. Instead of barely making ends meet in a place we hate, an area we hate, and a climate we hate, why not barely make ends meet living my dream while I'm still healthy enough to enjoy it?
What was my dream you ask? I wanted to buy an RV and travel the US. See all of the wonderful sights I've always dreamt of seeing. Experience the beauty of this nation and its people. I wanted to workkamp my way across this country one wonderful experience at a time.
I had the money saved up to buy the RV. No huge mansion on wheels, just a small, cheap RV that I could make my home. I even had my route mapped out and workkamping jobs all set and ready to be applied to. I watched dozens upon dozens of how-to videos to learn to care for my new home.
Then my health happened. And I realized I was no longer able to do the work needed to live and travel in an RV. My savings was quickly sucked up from living expenses and medical expenses while I fought and lost the disability battle. And life keeps throwing us one curve ball after another until our heads are spinning.
And we've been accepting those curve balls and thinking that we just have to deal with it. But why?
We don't have to deal with it. We don't have to continue to live in a miserable situation when there are other options out there.
We're wasting all of this money on rent in places we hate under the control of unethical people. True, there are better places with better people, but most of them don't allow cats. And we can't leave our cats behind. That money could be going towards a much cheaper, fuller life on the road. A life where we can enjoy ourselves and see all of the amazing sights this country has to offer.
My son is a good worker and willing to work our way across the country by workkamping. When you workkamp, you generally get your full hook-up site as part of your salary and often receive pay on top of that.
He wants to help me finally live my dream while experiencing other areas of the country in hopes of finding the place he'd like to eventually settle down in.
Having my son do the work required is the only way I'll be able to live this dream that's haunted and taunted me for the past 20 plus years. And he's willing and eager to give it a try.
Your donations will go towards the purchase of a very reasonably priced RV and everything needed to make it road worthy. We're really just looking for the basic necessities in one for now. The donations will also go towards funding our first leg of the trip to our first workkamping job.
We'll take you along with us on this journey through pictures, Facebook posts, and, of course, videos.
We tried to do it all on our own and it isn't working. So now we're asking for help. We've decided we are going to do this. Your help will make it happen faster and safer, but even without help, it will still happen. And the cats will be going with us.

Thank you very much in advance to those who choose to donate!! Even $5 will be a huge help!! I know times are tight for so many people so I certainly understand if you can't afford to donate. But even sharing this Go Fund Me page would be a huge help!!
Again, thank you!!
