My name is Susan, and I wanted to tell you a little about my friend Vanessa. I first met Vanessa while helping with children’s ministry in 2009. Vanessa has been “my person” through life’s ups and downs; now, I am hoping to do the same for her.

Vanessa is a mom to 4 boys, two grandchildren, a sister, and director of children’s ministry at CCB.

Just recently, Vanessa heard the words nobody wants to hear “It's cancer”. Being a children’s director has many rewards, but health insurance is not one of them. Vanessa carries a private policy with a $7000.00 deductible and a 40% out-of-pocket co-pay after the delectable is met. She is looking at many long months of chemo, surgery, and many more months of chemo. Vanessa has always been extremely responsible with her finances. She is not excited about material things and does not live above her means. The help I am requesting here is to help her be able to get the treatment she needs.
