Tiffany's Appendix Cancer Fight!

At the end of February, Tiffany came to the ER with abdominal and stomach pain fully expecting it to be a flair up of her diverticulosis or stomach ulcer. What they found was appendecitis. They attempted to convience her to leave the appendix in and do an experimental trial where they only treat with antibiotics. Thankfully Tiffany trusted her gut and she opted for the appendix removal. Because a week later she got the call that they had found a 1.1cm neuroendocrine tumor in her appendix. If the appendix had been left to burst it would have seeded her entire abdomen with cancer. During the staging process the oncologists recommended removing the right side of the colon and the lymph nodes behind to test for spread. The PET scan lit up in the colon area so we went ahead with the surgery finding another neuroendocrine tumor in the colon. This makes her cancer Stage3. The most concerning part is this is considered a highly aggressive cancer and next step is chemo. This GOFUNDME page will help with the rising medical costs of surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. We are blessed to have private Healthcare but there is a yearly deductible to meet and some things are just not covered at all. We have already used up Tiffany's bridge insurance for the appendectomy. Medical costs are not the only concern as Tiffany is not able to work healing from suregery and it is an unknown whterher she will be able to work during thw cycle of chemo.
