Moving Buffy & I to South Carolina
Hello friends and family,
Many of you know that my wife Buffy suffered a devastating brain bleed back in March 2015, and that she has been recovering, fighting, and progressing for the past 2 years. Recently I have been led to make the decision to move her and I back to her hometown of Sumter, SC. Both of our families are there, which will provide a much larger and stronger support system as I prepare to bring her HOME and manage her care and continued recovery from home. But before I can bring her home, I have to first get her transferred to a skilled nursing facility in Sumter, SC. I began this process back in January of this year. Needless to say, it has been a long (and sometimes very frustrating) process. And thank God that most of the leg work is done. But we face a new challenge now. There are some additional out of pocket cost to transfer my wife and complete our move to S.C. The ambulance cost alone (which I'm told will not be covered by insurance) is at least $1,700. Not to mention other medical expenses not covered by insurance, and the cost of moving and storing our belongings. Normally this might not have been that much of a challenge. But due to the fact that I have been laid-off of my job since September, and this process has taken SO long, I have now almost depleted all of my savings. This is not an easy ask for me, as I'm used to being a man that gets things done. But by the urging of family and friends who want to help and support us through this process, I'm launching this GoFundMe page. So any financial support you can or wish to give will be truly appreciated. God bless all of you. #Praying4Buffy #GreatGrace #WeStillTrustGod
