It breaks my heart to even write this. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I have worked for Jess & Rick (the owners) since I was 18 years old, fresh out of high school. They are some of the most kindhearted people I have ever met, always helping anyone and everyone as best as they can. This time, it’s them that needs the help and I’m hoping this giving season, you will consider.

Usually, we are the ones helping anyone and everyone, but now we need your help. After much encouragement from loyal, supportive friends and customers, I am swallowing my pride and asking for help.

This year has been extremely rough for both our family and the shop. Between the construction around us during our peak season, health issues within our family, our account being hacked, and it seems like everything that could break down in the shop this year did. We are simply tapped out.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, mentally I'm exhausted and financially drained. Without help, we will not be able to reopen the shop for 2026.

Anyone who has ever run a small business knows how hard it is. I promise you, we are not getting rich by selling ice cream.

I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into this business for almost 7 years. We have supported our community, local charities, and have been a place for families to gather. We have made so many friends and have heard so many times how thankful our customers are to have us in the community. Please help us continue.

I know times are hard for everyone, but if you can find it in your hearts to help us, we would be forever grateful. Whether that help is making a donation, buying more ice cream from us, sharing this GoFundMe, or saying a prayer for us, it all helps.

It breaks my heart to consider closing, but whatever is meant to happen will happen, and I will accept that fate.

PLEASE NOTE:

Funds from the GoFundMe will be used for rent for the next couple of months. We are currently behind on November rent. Rent is $2022 a month. It will also cover utility bills, electric bill is currently at $900.

In January we will have $200 due for our annual Health Permit.

We have five lights inside the building that need to be replaced (ballasts) and the outside sign lights need replaced. Ice cream and other product is approximately $1000 a week.
