Hello and thank you for taking the time to click the link. Please continue to read to see why we need your generosity.
My parents were on a routine trip to New Hampshire for a doctors appointment, while in New Jersey, Paul (my father) was in the back seat sleeping when he began to turn blue from lack of oxygen. My mothers quick actions saved his life and was able to get him to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey where they would perform a couple endoscopic procedures to fix him up. After learning that the procedure was minimally invasive she returned home to Virginia with my uncle and would then return that weekend with my brother when my father would be discharged to return home. While at the hospital my father was told that they discovered he had a birth defect in his heart called Bicuspid Aortic Valve. The treatment for this is a very serious surgery. They will need to open up my dads chest, cut way some of the heart and replace the valves. I have been told the only other heart surgery more dangerous than this is a heart transplant. My father has already had to have his hip replaced this year where they discovered an aneurism in his brain resulting in significant medical debt. Due to the fact they cannot control my dads blood pressure in combination with the aneurysm and the Bicuspid Aortic Valve, at this point they will not allow my father to leave due to the severity of his condition. My mother who has been disabled since I was in high school will not be able to stay at the hospital the entire time due to her back issues and will require lodging near the hospital. Please prayerfully consider donating to help ease the financial burden my parents will be facing.
