Mobility For Blind Kids Of The Andes
Donation protected
The Messenger is a group of all volunteers from many countries, working in the jprovince of Loja, Ecuador. Its purpose is to provide Mobility Training and technology to blind students of all ages. These children have extremely limited access - most do not even own a cane!
The Messenger volunteers offer individualized training in the use of canes and technology. Mobility Training will enhance the lives of the boys and girls by teaching them to navigate in the sighted world. One hundred (100) percent of the donations will be utilized to provide canes, cell phones and earbuds to allow children access to GPS map programs. Additionally, funds will be used for sensory training development in the external world. We are asking for your donation to help these blind children function normally. They need you!
Jim Paradiso (Blind Jim Can't Do That on Facebook) has a core of 10 volunteers working with two age groups. There are 23 elementary students and 19 high schoolers. In the month that he has been in Loja he has accomplished so much for the children.
