It is with broken hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our dear friend, John Ekow Deacon-Dickens. John suddenly collapsed on February 8, 2025, and though he was rushed to Sentara Hospital, we lost him despite all efforts. The cause of his death is still unknown, and we await the autopsy results, but one thing is clear, his loss has left a deep void in the lives of those who loved him.

John was the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into. His kindness, generosity, and warmth touched everyone who knew him. He leaves behind his loving wife, three beautiful children, parents, and siblings, who are now navigating an unimaginable grief.
