My name is Adriana Vazquez, and I was diagnosed with Aggresive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer.  
When I went in for a regular mammogram, I was shocked to hear that I had to go back for more tests. When I had my biopsy, I went to the doctor thinking the results would simply be a benign tumor. The doctor told me, "The news that I have to give you is the news that I don't like to give my patients. The biopsy came back malignment.  You have Aggressive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. We have to do surgery as soon as possible before it spreads to other organs in your body."

I couln't believe it.  It was devastating. All I could do was cry.  I wasn't even sure that that news was for me. I was just in shock.  I went to a specialist for a second opinion. They ran more tests and monitored me carefully. 
My cancer was very aggressive,  and within two weeks, my tumor had already doubled in size.  About a week later I went in for another test and was infomed that it had spread to my lymph nodes.  I was told that I needed a double radical masectomy.

How can things get any worse.  I cannot even explain the feeling that overcame me.  I thought my life was over.  It could be anywhere in my body at this point. I was beyond scared. I had my surgery soon after.

After my surgery, the way oncologists talked to me scared me. They kept saying that if I don't have chemo AND radiation, I would have only a year and a half max left. Most likely I would be dead within a year.  I was stage 2b/3 since it had spread to my lymph nodes and could be in another organ already. 

But something about those conventional treatments didn't seem right to me.  Not only are they painful and miserable, they fill your body with poisons and weaken your immune system. So I researched alternative methods.  I found the Gerson Therapy.  I went on a two week stay at a clinic where you are monitor every single day by the doctor.  You heal your body with nutrition-vitamins, minerals and enzymes.  You also do up to five enemas a day to cleanse and detoxify the liver.  It is now September. I was dignosed back in February.  According to all my oncologists, I will be dead in 5 months.  But I don't think so.  This treatment has me feeling strong and healthy.  It's a two year long treatment however, and I need to complete it before being declared cancer free. I get monitored through monthly blood tests.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover this type of treatment. So far I have already spent over $20,000 out of pocket.  

I am 48 years old and want to keep fighting.  I want to live to see my grandchildren.  I just got  my second surgery this week.  This treatment is very expensive, and I haven't been able to work for close to seven months.  Any donation is much appreciated no matter how small.  Please help me in saving my life. 

For those of you suffering from cancer or know someone going through this horrible disease, know that this is not the end. Don't let the oncologist scare you into getting chemo or radiation. It has been proven that those treatments do more harm than good. Do your research and have faith. Be strong and think positive and know that there is a lot of support out there.
