Resilient Taco, our sweet rescue gentleman, needs life-saving surgery to help him get back in good spirits and remain an active part of our family. He has a fast-growing tumor near his liver that needs to be removed, and because of its location, the operation will be particularly delicate and expensive.

We have good pet insurance, but we've already exhausted it for Taco for this year. We've already had to spend over $8,000 helping him get over a bout of pancreatitis he had in the fall, and our insurance only covers 90% of $7,000 per year.

We have an amazing surgeon who thinks she can do a lot to help him once she begins the surgery, but the costs, including CT scans and consultation with a radiologist as well as the surgery itself, will be $25,000. Please help us pay for this life-saving surgery so our sweet boy can stay with us and his two bulldog brothers, Sid and Hank, as well as our sixteen-month-old daughter who loves him very much.

Taco chose our family before we even knew we needed him. We already had three dogs and weren't planning on getting another when we saw him at a pet adoption clinic for a local shelter, and he wouldn't let us interact with any other dogs there. He was afraid of men but quickly warmed up to my husband Brian when we agreed to foster him, and as soon as he entered our home, we knew we could never let him go again.

He was best friends with our French bulldog Augie , and loves our English bulldog Sid. When Augie passed away, Taco was devastated. But a new French bulldog puppy, Hank, wormed his way into Taco's heart, and now he adores Hank just as much as he always loved Augie.

Taco survived a small tumor removal two years ago and we believe he has lots of great life left in him if he can just get through this procedure. Please help us save our dear Taco. Thank you so much.
