Hi, our names are Joni Wooff and Amber Hale. We would like to raise funds to help our friend’s daughter.

MacKenzie Shore was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer on June 11th. It is treatable and she’s young and healthy otherwise. She has 3 tumours in her lymph nodes and they are affecting her breathing, so everything has been treated urgently. One by the right side of her neck is golf ball size, one under her right collar bone and a softball sized one between her lungs. She started Chemo on June 27th, which will last at least 8 months and she can’t work for the duration of her treatments.

She’s got a good team at the Cancer Clinic. They won’t do surgery because we have hundreds of lymph nodes in our body and if they operate, it’ll move to other lymph nodes. They can only kill it with Chemo. She has had 4 treatments so far. They’re treating it aggressive and will change it to a stronger Chemo and possibly Radiation if necessary.

MacKenzie’s spirits are good and she’s positive and still smiling. MacKenzie is very involved in the community. She is working with the Blazers AAA boys U18 hockey team as Assistant General Manager, this is her 8th season with them. She also volunteered her time this summer with the U17 girls Raiders softball team as Assistant Coach.

We would like to pay it forward to her, so we are starting this Go Fund Me Page to help support MacKenzie with ongoing medical costs and costs of living while she’s off work.
