For the past four decades event planner extraordinaire Carl Bendix has created beauty bringing his gift and vision from Hollywood to the White House, as a planner of some of the most amazing events ever produced.

 

More importantly, Carl has spent his life giving to others and supporting numerous causes close to his heart: as a founder of EC2000 (supporting inner city youth), Carl served as Director of the first entertainment-based environmental organization - ECO - as well as having served as Chairman of the Board for Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. In addition Carl has worked tirelessly to support organizations such as Best Buddies, the Women’s Alzheimers Movement, and Special Olympics.

 

For several years Carl has been dealing with multiple health issues that culminated in a stroke three months ago that has severely affected his mobility and self-sufficiency. This happened on top of the Covid outbreak that had already caused a major financial setback due to the cancellation of events.

 

The goal is to raise funds that will help Carl get back on his feet (through on-going physical therapy and home health aid) and offset some of the related medical expenses not covered by insurance. His plan is to move to Costa Rica February 2022 to stay with friends and convalesce with the in-home care that he needs - so the need is immediate. Retirement in Costa Rica is very reasonable and medical care is first-class (and much more affordable).
