From the moment Felicia and Robert met they became inseparable. Felicia was a single mother of 2 boys, Josiah 11 and Cameron 7, struggling to raise them on her own when Robert came in their lives. Felicia had finally met the man of her dreams and was able to just be a mom and not have to struggle raising 2 boys on her own. She became pregnant with a baby boy and was completely overjoyed and excited to have a child with her soulmate.
As she grew bigger she began to develop pains in her stomach and chest. After months of complaining to her obgyn they finally gave Felicia answers. She was 7 months pregnant and diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to her liver. Immediately she had to make the decision to deliver early and begin treatment. Her baby boy Michael was born at 36 weeks on 9/11 via C-section. He came out healthy and perfect without the need to be in the Nicu.
Felicia is now starting chemotherapy with 2 elementary school children and a newborn infant. Doctors have told her that she only has a few years her on earth with aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries. All this news has been extremely hard on her and her loved ones. Everything is happening so fast and her happily ever after fairlytale love has been tainted by cancer.
Felicia is battling not only cancer but also being strong enough to give her children her limited time on earth. Robert has been working and providing for his new family but this has been a complete detour of plans and finances. Conflicted with the burden of keeping a roof over their heads and staying home to help with their newborn and Felicia, Robert struggles in making the right choice.
Your donations will help out Felicia and her family tremendously. Medical expenses, basic living expenses and a savings for the boys. Her children and family means the world to her and she wishes to create as many happy memories as she can. Through all her pain and suffering Felicia strives to keep her sons in sports activities and bonding with her newborn. She is such an amazing mother to her boys that she’s struggling with this news and worrying about how her children will be taken care of when she’s no longer here. Anything helps even down to prayers.
