Homeless Helpers
Hi. We are the Homeless Helpers. We are a group of kids trying to raise money to help the homeless. On days out with our families and friends, we often see people sitting on the streets looking hungry, weak and tired. These people have no shelter, very little food and clothes, and no friends. This made us feel sad, so we decided to try and help, so that some of these people can have some of the things that we have.
We want to try and raise as much money as we can to support the charity, Friends of Essex & London Homeless. This charity runs a soup kitchen each week in Charing Cross (London) and also in Grays Essex. They also look after anyone living on the streets or in poverty that come to the charity’s attention.
Everyone deserves to have clothes to wear and not feel hungry all the time. This is only our first step to making sure no-one is left out.
We are going to do lots of challenges, and are asking you to sponsor us.
We have completed our first five challenges. Eashan completed a 15k cycle ride and recently completed a 2.5k swim , Ajay has completed a 4k rollerblading challenge, Sulaiman (who initially set out to do a 10k bike ride) completed a huge 20k, and recently, Eashan, Jai and Aaryan climbed the second highest peak in the UK, Mount Snowdon. See videos below.
There is a growing number of homeless people on our streets, so please donate whatever you can.
The more you donate, the more challenges we will do, and the more, together, we can help the homeless.
