Hi, my name is Cindy and I am looking for help in saving the life of this precious, handsome puppy who has had a rough start to his life. George is five months old and yesterday was rescued from a life on the streets by a kind-hearted man named Tony. Tony and his girlfriend Anika were unable to care for him and reached out to the NextDoor community for help.

 

My husband and I were happy and fortunate to help. We picked up George and

he appeared malnourished, lethargic, and sickly. We took him home last night, and this morning we brought him to the Animal Medical Center on Hillsdale. He was diagnosed with the Parvo virus. :( He is receiving intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and anti-diarrhea medication. He will need to remain at the vets for 4-6 days for treatment and hopefully will make a full recovery. The cost of his treatments exceed $600.00 a day.

 

While we were expecting to pay for a full examination, vaccination and a microchip, we were not prepared for this costly diagnosis! We believe saving George is well worth it and the right thing to do, but now we are reaching out to the community for help with the costs. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
