Mold , moved and need help
Donation protected
As some of you know our family was forced to move after being exposed to toxic mold, which was found in the home that we had been renting for the past three years. Our move was quite unexpected, and we were fortunate to find a safe and healthy house to move into. We have discovered that an unexpected move is an incredible drain on finances. Medical bills are showing up every day from ER visits, medical testing, and the ongoing care from living in the toxic environment. Our medical insurance has not helped with coverage for myself and our two year old Tribue. Simply stated, medical insurance doesn’t cover everything in this day and age. We are detoxing and getting a little better every day but financially this has been a huge blow to us.
In addition to the medical expenses, we had to leave a large number of our possessions behind for fear of cross-contamination into our new residence. This includes clothing, blankets, and our beds/furniture, which all need to be replaced.
As a further blow to our finances, the mold testing we paid for as well as our deposit from our previous landlord has not been returned yet which compounds are having a hard time making ends meet.
As our friends will testify, we are incredibly hard-working people, and it is difficult for us to ask for assistance whe realize times are hard everywhere. We have learned some valuable lessons throughout this experience, and are thankful for our friends and family. We look forward to living a healthier future.
Thank you very Much
