Serving As A Family In The Dominican

Last year, I put myself out there and followed something that I was really feeling called to do and I went on my first mission trip with our church. It was definitely worth it. We were in the Dominican Republic in a community called Haina. We helped with VBS, did work with their women's ministry, poured the concrete for a floor in a new vocational school they are building, and even had a community wide youth event at the end of the week. 

It was so much fun getting to be the hands and feet of God while seeing how he was moving in and through their community. 

This year, we are going back. We will be going to a new town called Los Canos. We will be there from July 1-8. We will be helping in the construction of a second floor to a building that houses an after-school and vocational ministry. These programs are on hold until construction finishes. 

We will also get to help with their children's ministry, women's ministry and get to do home visits in the community. We will get to go serve in a community that is already starting to see God move in their community. 

This year has already shown me a big step in following what I feel God was calling me to do. This is the year that my daughter, Isabelle, will be joining us. She is wired with a going spirit and she LOVES others. She loves helping and she loves to give as much as she can.

I would love it if you would support us by, first, praying for our trip. This is the most important part of support we need. We need prayers for safe travels, for us to be able to see God do something big for their community and for our ability to be able to serve to the fullest that God has called us to.
