Please help us save Lolas life

Hi everyone, my name is Matthew, though many of you know me as Kanto. Today, I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help.

Earlier today, my girlfriend and I rushed our precious dog Lola to the vet after noticing she was unwell and had completely gone off her food. We thought it might be something minor, maybe a bug or a need for antibiotics. Instead, we were blindsided by devastating news: Lola has something lodged inside her intestine.

The vets aren’t certain what it is yet. It could be something she accidentally swallowed, though its size seems unusual for that. There’s also a chance it could be a tumor that has either grown rapidly or broken off from another area, causing a blockage. Regardless of the cause, the situation is critical. Lola urgently needs life-saving surgery, or we will lose her.

Lola is more than just a dog to us. She’s family. She’s a fighter who has already overcome so much in her life. Lola is a rescue from a horrific puppy farm, a place where dogs are bred with no regard for their well-being. Because of her past, Lola has significant trust issues and struggles with anxiety, but despite it all, she’s the sweetest, most loving soul. She’s been a light in our lives, especially during difficult times.

For my girlfriend, losing Lola would be an unbearable heartbreak. Just over a month ago, her lifelong companion, Bella, passed away. Bella was her shadow, her partner through everything, and losing her shattered my girlfriend’s heart. Lola has been a huge comfort during this time, and the thought of losing her now is unbearable for both of us.

Why We Need Your Help:

My girlfriend and I are in a very difficult position financially. She suffers from multiple chronic illnesses that leave her severely fatigued and unable to work. As her full-time caregiver, I provide her with the support she needs to get through each day, which means I am also unable to work. Although we’ve been fighting for Carer’s Allowance for over a year, the system has continuously let us down.

We don’t have the means to afford Lola’s surgery, which will cost £4,000 plus. Without it, we will lose her. We have never been the kind of people to ask for help like this, but right now, we are out of options.
