Our dog, Dixie, has been diagnosed with a type of severe anemia called IMHA and she has pancreatitis. She has needed two blood transfusions so far and we are hoping the second one is more successful. She has undergone many medications and treatments over this past week and she is only 5 years old. There is a possibility that the only treatment we can do is a special treatment only accessible at Purdue University.

If Dixie recovers, she can live a normal healthy life again. She is such a funny dog and if you’ve ever met her you know how sweet and energetic she is. Even if you can only donate the minimum, you are really helping us give Dixie the treatments, medicines, and love she desperately needs. If you can’t donate please share this with others and make sure to give your animals a big hug because you can never predict how much precious time you have with them. We are not the type of family to ask for donations but Dixie is an important member of our family and we want to give her the best chance we can.
