Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend, Barb, who is now facing one of the hardest battles of her life. Many of you know Barb as one of the hardest-working, most generous, and kind-hearted people around. She’s someone who has always been there for others — for over 30 years, she’s been a constant source of love, support, and strength for me and my family. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

On September 10th, Barb received devastating news that she was diagnosed with Triple Negative grade 3 aggressive Breast Cancer. After the PET Scan, doctors believed she had Breast cancer that metastasized into the liver. After a second opinion, things became complicated. It was determined that it was not yet metastatic cancer, but instead liver cancer along with the -3 breast cancer, or with the slim possibility -3 breast cancer and a benign liver tumor. The medical team has decided to treat it as both breast and liver cancer, allowing them to take the most aggressive and hopeful approach possible.

While there is still uncertainty, the good news is that it is not currently metastatic, which gives us hope. Please keep praying that this remains not metastatic, because that would make this untreatable and then only a fight to prolong life. For now, Barb and her doctors are focusing on fighting this with everything they have to beat the cancer.

Anyone who knows Barb knows she’s a fighter. She’s worked incredibly hard for everything in her life — often working multiple jobs to support her family and help others. Even through this diagnosis, she remains optimistic, determined, and strong.

This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden so Barb can focus on her health rather than worry about bills. The goal is to allow her to work as able and not worry about missing paychecks while she undergoes treatment, rests, and heals.
