So here's a story i wish i wasn't writing!!

As most of you know on wednesday 11th december 2024 my sister Jemma was given the devastating news that she has stage 3 breast cancer.

At 30 years old, as far as she knew - 'fit & healthy' , recently engaged and trying for a baby this was a huge shock and a lot to process.

Jem is still waiting to hear her exact treatment plan from oncology but They have told her it will roughly be 5 months of chemotherapy starting as soon as possible now she’s finished her fertility part of the journey. The chemo will be followed by an operation to remove the lump and then radiotherapy. Which means 2025 will be a pretty rough journey for our Jem.

Being self employed her finances are going to take a big hit so we thought it would be nice to support Jem so she doesn’t have to worry too much. But also treat herself if she wants to as she will deserve it more than ever whilst on this bumpy road ahead.

She has her whole farmyard of animals to provide for and most importantly her beautiful salon - Which i know she is already worrying about everyone having sh*t hair! (typical jem)

There's been so many ideas flying around from mountain climbs, to head shaving but instead of having lots of individual pages we thought we could just have one big one that we share and if you'd like to take part in a fundraising activity/event please let us know so you can share this link and we can help spread the word also.

Hopefully Jem responds well to the treatment and i know that she wont back down easily. However it's SO important she takes time to rest and focuses on herself for once (which as you all know is rare!!)

She is always the first person to offer help and be running around after other people, always putting their needs before her own.

So let's get fundraising and let our little Jem know she has a whole army of support right beside her....
