Hello
i did not realise how a stroke takes away the dignity and pride of the person it affects. People like my father who are intelligent and cerebral and yet have everything taken away, eating, drinking, movement and speech. It is a cruel and soul destroying existence after a stroke. So a little fundraiser, I know it’s not running a marathon but it’s a start! Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit The Stroke Association, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about The Stroke Association: Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke, which can leave survivors unable to move, see, speak, or even swallow. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. It’s only thanks to the generosity of our supporters and donors that we can provide that vital support.
