We recently took our sweet boy, Diesel, for a routine check-up, never expecting the news we received: A growth on his backside turned out to be cancerous.

After meeting with a board-certified surgeon, we learned that the mass needs to be removed and tested to determine the stage and whether cancer has spread. For now, prompt surgery is the best chance to give him a healthy future.

Diesel just turned 8 in August. He's a chonky, goofy, sunshine-loving pup who adores walks, treats, and lounging with his brother, Oliver. He doesn't show any signs of pain, and thankfully, the tumor doesn't appear to be aggressive yet—but time is important, and we want to act before it has a chance to grow or spread.
