Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help with our sweet baby Cheddar.
Yesterday afternoon i rushed cheddar to the hospital as he was fighting for his life. What began as aspiration pneumonia quickly became more serious, and he has since been transferred to a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital for critical care. The emergency team now believes Cheddar may be suffering from a cardiovascular complication, possibly related to anesthesia from his recent neuter causing fluid around his heart and lungs.
Cheddar is critically ill and requires constant monitoring and specialized treatment. Despite everything, he continues to show incredible strength, and the veterinary team is doing everything possible to stabilize him and determine the best path forward.
At this time Cheddar is currently receiving, emergency ICU and critical care monitoring, oxygen support, IV fluids and medications and advanced diagnostics to assess his heart and lungs.
Watching such a tiny, innocent soul fight so hard has been absolutely heartbreaking for our family. Cheddar is 8 months old, and is such a gentle, loving, and full of personality part of our family, he deserves every chance to grow up healthy and strong.
Unfortunately, the cost of emergency and ongoing treatment has grown rapidly. As of now, Cheddar’s veterinary expenses have already surpassed $6,000, and with emergency ICU care, specialists, medications, and continued hospitalization, costs continue to increase daily.
Our goal is simply to ask for help not cover the cost of, but will help with care Cheddar has already received and the critical treatment still needed to give him the best possible chance at recovery.
Any donation makes a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, please share and keeping Cheddar in your thoughts.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time. We are holding onto hope and doing everything we can for our sweet baby.
