We all know and love our friend, James Myers. You know, the snarky, smart-ass, punny, keeper of arcane knowledge, Mr. Amnesty? Yeah, you know the guy. Well, he’s having a really tough time right now and he could really use our help. Pretty damn quickly, too.

Backstory:
In 2011, James moved from Santa Clara to Houston, to care for his ailing parents. 18 months later, his Dad, already fully handicapped, passed after a failed procedure. His Mom was having strokes and was diagnosed with Multi-infarct Dementia (Alzherimer's mixed with frontotemporal behavior relating to heart valve & kidney injury). Her meds filled a large yellow Stanley tool chest. Being the only surviving child, James gave up his life and career to care for his Mom full-time. And it was tough going, especially this last year. Money was tight and there wasn’t much assistance to be found. Doctors, hospitals, cancer, and the behavioral changes which with come with dementia, became his world. Last September, Barbara Ann Myers passed away. While still in his mourning fog, James discovered that things of value turned up missing, possibly due to revolving-door aids. Which sent him into the darkness of depression. Recently he has snapped out of it, only to realize his power, phone, internet will be shut off this coming Thursday (4/13/17), there are a slew of unpaid speeding tickets (to get Mom to Dr. when things were bad), car insurance/inspection has lapsed, and the bank account is overdrawn. Plus, the cupboards are bare.

This is where y’all come in. Let’s help James out. You know, when you find a friend stuck down in a deep, dark well, you throw him a rope. Skip Starbucks this week for our friend. Please, will you chip in and we can show James that there is HOPE in the world?
You are very much appreciated.
