Help Build a School in Togo

Donation protected
Please help Regis and Denean Zozo complete the construction of a school (K-12) in Togo (West Africa) through "The Samuel Project".

THE SAMUEL PROJECT is a nonprofit organization initially funded by Regis and Denean Zozo and carried forward by  charitable donations, intended to lead the Togolese population into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through local schools, churches, hospitals, and orphanages.

The Samuel Project believes education, more than any other sector of development, seeds radical positive improvement in poverty reduction, gender equality,  and health outcomes. In other words, readily available public education will lead to a prosperous, developed and sustainable future for Togo.

The Samuel Project aims to build a strong partnership with villagers to raise knowledge, awareness, and community-driven action among the population. This partnership will lead to a safety net for children, particularly young girls who are unequally disparaged and who face a dismal and maliciously vulnerable future without access to education. These schools will be staffed and led by trained local educators and credentialed foreign staff. Each school will possess at a minimum, a library, laboratory, cafeteria, gymnasium complex/schoolyard, two school buses, an administrative building, and dormitories for overseas staff/volunteers.

The vision of THE SAMUEL PROJECT is to provide a safe community where individuals and families can secure access to education, religion, healthcare, and development. An environment designed to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization.

The Samuel Project EXPANDED: As you can see, our dream extends far beyond a local school, and below we would like to introduce to you an expanded vision that incorporates a church, orphanage, and a multi-service hospital center.

The Goals:

• Improve Togo’s childhood literacy rates by building a primary school, middle school, and high school staffed and led by trained local educators.

• Spread the Gospel in Togo through evangelization and church building initiatives.

• Provide a safe haven to HIV/AIDS-infected children by founding an orphanage organized around their specific physical, spiritual, mental, and social needs.

• Ameliorate the dire living and healthcare conditions of the Togolese population through the construction of a multi-service hospital center embedded in the rural village of Gounukope, approximately 50 miles east of Lomé, Togo.

What have we accomplished so far?

The Samuel Project owns a total of 7.2 acres of land for its compound. The school’s construction is already underway. The classrooms for the first to third grades have been built, while the fourth through sixth grade classrooms are currently at the foundation level.

The school also has 20 staff, to include a Headmaster with 20 years teaching experience, on site working to promote the initiative in Lome.

GIVE: After the start-up costs, The Samuel Project is propelled solely through the generous donations of people like yourself.  If God is leading you to support, please donate through this site and/or "like" us on our Facebook page fb.me/TheSamuelProjectbyzozo
