Our precious nephew, Titus Camacho was welcomed into the world on October 11th. ❤️ We soon found out that he was born with a birth defect, known as Gastroschisis, which is a rare condition that causes some of the baby’s intestines to remain on the outside of his belly as his belly button closed inside the womb.

In Titus’ situation the doctors found a major case that involved multiple immediate surgeries, that consisted of removing the damaged parts of his intestines and reconnecting the good parts back together. Titus did so good and the surgeries went really well! His recovery will take around two months, which involves him remaining in the NICU receiving round-the-clock care and therapy.
