My name is Jennifer and I am a loving and caring mother of 5 incredible kids. In 2007 I was blessed to have given birth to my son Anton. Anton seemed to be like any other kid learning how to crawl and shortly learning how to walk along furniture. After a little while I started noticying that Anton didn't really want to walk along the furniture anymore that he was just wanting to crawl. Crawling went to army crawling. A few months before his 2nd birthday he was diagnosed with SMA Type 2 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) As his condition progress he lost his use of his legs and not have the strength in his arms to crawl. As he has gotten older he has already had major back surgery by the time he was 8 years old due to the scoliosis. Anton is 9 years and he is the most happy little guy you would ever meet. Even after everything he has had to go through. We are looking to raise money to be able to buy a van that is wheelchair accessible with a lift in it for him so he can be able to just drive his wheelchair right into it and sit comfortable instead of him having to be picked up uncomfortable as he is already having hip problems and will be going for future surgerys. As well to go back and forth from edmonton to Bon Accord for doctors appointment and physio and surgerys. I would like to thank all of you for your support and taking the time to read our story.
