Sailor Circus Goes To Washington DC

Donation protected
Greetings friends and family! Channing here! In fact, that's me flying through the air in the picture above! As you know, I spend a lot of time training and performing at the Sailor Circus, the nation’s longest-running youth circus – now in its 68th year. Joining Sailor Circus is by far the best decision I've ever made. It has taught me teamwork, accountability and perseverance. Additionally, it has instilled in me confidence and self-assurance that I can do anything I put my mind to if I work hard enough! Now for the really exciting news...Recently, I've been invited to be a part of a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel and perform in WASHINGTON DC and share my passion for the circus arts with millions of people all over the world! The Sailor Circus has been invited by The Smithsonian Institution to participate in the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C. this summer. We will perform on The National Mall for over 2 million visitors during the 10-day festival and over 4 million people will see us on the Festival website. I have trained wholeheartedly for this once-in-a-lifetime event. I am honored and thrilled beyond measure to have been chosen to represent my community, my family and my friends at this iconic event - but I need your help! You can send me to Washington! In order to attend The Smithsonian Folklife Festival, I am raising funds to help pay for my travel, lodging, meals and local transportation for 10 days, June 29–July 9. My goal is $2000 but any donation you make – no matter how large or how small – will help me perform in the Nation’s Capital! Here's how you can help: 1. Donate any amount at my GoFundMe account to help me get to Washington in June. 2. Help me by sharing my campaign - send to your friends by posting on social media like FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn - send an email or text, call a few people you know and share at work, school or anywhere you can. 3. Ask your friends to visit http://www.festival.si.edu/2017/circus-arts/smithsonian for more information about The 50th Anniversary Smithsonian Folklife Festival: Circus! (And then ask if they will share my campaign too!) I am counting on friends and family like you to help me participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. This opportunity is something that I have been training for, and I am excited to have the chance to represent the future of circus arts in America! Thank you!!! P.S. - For more information about The Circus Arts Conservatory – home of the Sailor Circus – please visit our website at www.circusarts.org or just look for more pics on my mom's FB page...she's kinda proud of me!
