Summer Mission Trip To Mexico

This summer, July 1-8, Jacob, Abby, and I will be traveling with Our Church to Mexico. This will be our first mission trip and we ask that you please pray for us and if you are led to help us financially we would appreciate anything that you could give. Your financial support will help pay for our flight, supplies, and all expenses for the week that we are gone. Thank you for taking the time to read about the church we will be helping and for your prayers for my family, our church, and the church in Merida.
Our church, Faith Presbyterian in Watkinsville, Ga has had a very close relationship with the people in Merida since 1997. We’ve sent many teams throughout the years and have been a humble part of their church growth ever since. The Iglesia Nacional Presbiteriana Shalom started in 1990 and has steadily grown since then. They are now at a point where they are sending their own missionaries to villages around Merida and helping other churches grow. Our desire at Faith is to encourage an ONGOING relationship with Shalom so that we are not only helping to build their ministry, but the ministries of other churches in the Yucatan. We are thankful that this trip has history and strong relationships. This isn’t just another summer mission trip where we invest a lot of time and money and then never think of the people once we return. We are always looking ahead with Shalom and looking for opportunities to support their growth-both physical and Spiritual.
Would you consider supporting us and Faith PCA in this ministry? We know this is a huge request considering our current economy, but we are a firm believer in the power of prayer and that God will provide the necessary funds. PLEASE be in prayer for us as a team and for us individually as a team member. In addition for praying for us BEFORE and while we are in Merida, we ask that you remember to pray for the ministries already in place in Merida. Pray that we would be an encouragement and support for our Mexican brothers and sisters in Christ. Our desire is that God will grow us closer as a team, but also show the love of Christ through our actions and words.
