Background:
Hi! My name is Marissa. I was recently admitted as a freshman to University of California Santa Cruz, which is the school that I was praying to be accepted to. I was accepted for the Legal Studies Major, which is important to me because my intended career for the future is to be a lawyer. I also intend to gain a PhD in Psychology which will take a great amount of years, therefore a great deal of money.
The Problem:
I live in a four person household with a fifth on the way, and we are surviving off of one income. I applied to many scholarships but came up emty handed. The financial aid that I was offered leaves me grasping for money. My family cannot afford the family contribution along with me needing to provide an extra three thousand.
What I need:
The money that I recieve I intend to apply towards books and supplies, tuition, and room and board. I want to ensure that I will not have to go further in debt from loans than I have to. Since I know that I will be attending college for at least 8 years, I need to minimize my loan use as much as possible. Any and all donations are welcome.
