KIPP WAYS Academy is seeking assistance in providing our scholars with both domestic and international learning experiences this year!
Every day, KIPP students across the nation are proving that demographics do not define destiny. More than 85 percent of our students are from low-income families and eligible for the federal free or reduced-price meals program, and 95 percent are African American or Latino. Nationally, more than 95 percent of KIPP middle school students have graduated high school, and more than 85 percent of KIPP alumni have gone on to college.
Each year, in celebration of their hard work, scholars at KIPP WAYS Academy, earn the opportunity to take an end-of-the- year tour with band. We plan on taking our band to South Africa this year. These trips are not only used as incentives for our scholars, but they are also opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom and continue to build a sense of team and family amongst the students, teachers, and their families, and they allow our scholars to be exposed to this huge world of ours.
Any support that you can extend to us would be greatly appreciated. No donation is too small.
Thanks in advance!
