I found Minnie a month ago, abandoned by the side of the road. She was malnourished, filthy and in a terrible condition. She was crying and shaking and as soon as I approached her she started wagging her tail and tried to bury her head in my lap. On closer inspection I could see there was something seriously wrong with her legs and she was unable to walk. How could I leave her there to die? After various tests and x rays we found out that she has a hernia, cancer in her teats and has had Osteomyelitis which has eaten away at the bones in her legs. She has clearly been like this for a while as she has adapted a remarkable way of living. We think she is only about 3 years old!! She is such a happy little thing at home and settled in really quickly. There's nothing she loves more than sitting next to me on the sofa being given the love and affection she's never had! Within a few days her whole demeanour had changed. I'm in contact with an animal charity who are helping me raise funds for the operations Minnie needs. The first is happening next week and it's to fix the hernia and remove the cancer. After that will be her legs as there is hope that she will walk again. I'm appealing to all my friends/family/contacts and all animal lovers to help raise the funds for the operations. Please donate whatever you can afford. No amount is too small! Encontré a Minnie hace un mes, abandonada en la carretera . Estaba desnutrida, sucia y en un estado terrible. Ella estaba llorando y temblando y tan pronto como me acerqué a ella comenzó a menear la cola e intentó saltar encima de mi. En una inspección más cercana pude ver que había algo seriamente mal en sus piernas y ella era incapaz de caminar. ¿Cómo podía dejarla allí para morir? Después de varias pruebas y rayos x nos enteramos de que tiene una hernia, cáncer de mama y ha tenido osteomielitis que ha comido los huesos en sus piernas. Ella ha sido claramente así por un tiempo, ya que ha adaptado una forma de vivir asi. Creemos que sólo tiene 3 años !! Ella es una cosa tan feliz en casa y se instaló en muy rápido. No hay nada que le guste más que estar sentada a mi lado en el sofá recibiendo el amor y cariño que nunca tuvo! En pocos días, tenía otra cara ya. Estoy en contacto con una protectora que me está ayudando a recaudar fondos para las operaciones que Minnie necesita. La primera está ocurriendo la próxima semana y es para arreglar la hernia y eliminar el cáncer. Después de eso serán sus piernas porque hay esperanza de que volverá a caminar. Estoy apelando a todos mis amigos / familiares / contactos y todos los amantes de los animales para ayudar a recaudar los fondos para las operaciones.
