For those of you that don’t know, my name is Jordyn & I’m Jocelyn’s older sister. Our family comes to you asking for support through what is undoubtedly the darkest hour any of us have ever experienced.
On January 31, 2021, Jocelyn was traveling home with her two daughters; Gracelynn-3, & Paislee-9months, & our younger sister, Jasmine-11. Due to icy road conditions, Jocelyn lost control of her vehicle which led her to cross into the other lane, smash into an embankment, & was then struck by an SUV traveling the opposite direction.
Jocelyn was knocked unconscious at the scene & taken in for assessment. Upon arriving at Knox, they determined Jocelyn suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and needed to be stabilized before being transported to Columbus. Jocelyn was able to be stabilized and headed to Columbus where an amazing team of doctors & medical staff performed surgery to assess bleeding & swelling of her brain, as well as her skull fracture.
Jocelyn is stable as of 1:00p on 2/1/21, is showing signs of improvement such as reacting to touch & light. She is connected to a ventilator but doctors are hopeful she will be able to breathe independently soon.
Jocelyn has a long road to recovery ahead & our family is asking for your support to ensure all she will have to worry about is getting back to her happy, healthy self. Any contribution; whether it be monetary, spiritual, or simply sharing her story to help spread the word is appreciated more than you will ever know.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, & God Bless.
