In Loving Memory of Stephen Galvin Sr. – Support for His Family

Hi, I’m Michael, Stephen’s older brother. I'm heartbroken to share that Stephen passed away suddenly on July 16, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife, Erin, and their two amazing young sons.

Stephen dedicated his life to serving others — first in the U.S. Navy, then for nearly 28 years as a police officer in Melrose, MA. But his greatest role was being a father and husband. He and Erin built their lives around their young sons, never missing a game, event, or school moment.

Stephen worked hard, often taking on extra shifts to support the family’s future. In recent years, they faced unexpected setbacks — home damage from a car accident and a major plumbing failure — which strained their savings.

Now, Erin and the boys are facing this tragic loss and the financial challenges that come with it. I’ve started this GoFundMe to help with funeral costs and to support their future.
