If You're Able …

As you may or may not know, Lisa Jimenez, has been having some serious medical issues since last November. First it was her knee. She had to have Knee Revision Surgery. As with any surgical procedure, there are risks associated with revision knee replacement. Because the procedure is longer and more complex and has a greater risk of complications and due to this, she has not been able to work.

On top of that as of January, Lisa’s husband Al was laid off from his work. He has only recently started to work again. If that wasn’t enough of a burden, in February, on Valentines Day this year Lisa was then informed that she had breast cancer. Yes, she had to have a double mastectomy. She had to start chemotherapy. She had drains and expanders put in which did not heal leading to 2 more procedures. In July the expanders and drains had become infectious which spread the infection to her knee. Again, she had to have surgery to remove, clean out and replace them. For a short time, it seemed as though she was healing but then more complications came. She just found out yesterday she will need emergency surgery this coming Tuesday 8/15 as the hospital was totally booked until then. They will remove everything as it seems as though her body is rejecting the expanders and drains. She is dealing with so much.!

Needless to say, this had put a huge financial burden on them. Lisa had been receiving disability but unfortunately that has run out. It’s been a rough 10 months and it’s not over yet. In the face of this burden, we are asking for you to please help them with any amount of support you can possibly give. We struggle to even ask for your help as we know everyone is trying to make ends meet these days so we understand if you aren’t able.
