Help Us Bring My Father Home

On the morning of September 15, 2025, my father was violently detained by ICE in North Portland. He had just left our home when unmarked vehicles surrounded him. Agents pounded on his windows, yelling and forced the car open. They never identified themselves, never asked who he was and never even asked about his legal status. My brother, who was with him, was screamed at and told to “shut the fuck up” when he tried to speak. No one deserves to be treated this way.

The entire experience was terrifying and deeply traumatic. My father is a good man, a loving husband, a caring father and a valued member of our community. He does not deserve this. Our family is heartbroken, shaken and now fighting a battle we should never have to face.

We are doing everything we can, with lawyers, to fight for his freedom and to protect our family’s safety. But the truth is, this fight is expensive and overwhelming. The legal fees, upcoming court costs and our family’s basic needs are more than we can carry alone. With my mom unable to work and both of their incomes now gone, we will be under immense financial strain.

One of the most critical steps in this fight is filing a habeas corpus petition, a legal action to challenge his detention. The estimated cost for this alone is $20,000- $25,000 not including additional legal and family expenses.
