Getting Back in the Game!

Hello all! James DeWalt of James DeWalt Photography (Life in Nature) and 8500 Light Lab, reaching out for some assistance to help get back in the game with some of my favorite subjects, wildlife and wild life. While on a recent trip, my long lens used for wildlife and concert photography suffered a convulsive and game ending mechanical failure. Sadly, due to the age of the model of the lens, it is no longer supported for repairs by the manufacturer. Because of the evolution of technology (having recently upgraded to a new camera body), investing in the cost of a repair by a private entity on an older model lens that was ultimately not designed to work with the new technology is not a practical option either.

This GoFundMe account has been set up for family, friends and followers on social media to donate towards assisting in the purchase of new gear so that I can get back on track in both genres of photography as soon as possible with equipment that is designed for the new camera body. While I do offer print sales of my nature photography within the U.S., this account will allow for individuals to help out in a way other than investing in printed art, as well as allow friends, family and followers outside of the U.S. to help out the cause.

Those of you who know me or have followed along on the social media ride for some time, know well how passionate I am for both genres of photography, and how much I want to get back into both as soon as possible. One of my biggest joys of the work and the art is being able to share my experiences with those who couldn't be there with me, and I deeply want to get back to sharing new work with the world as soon as I possibly can, so anything helps!
