Hello All,

As many of you know, 4 years ago our sweet Bowen Mac Henry was brought into this world at only 21 weeks gestation. As first time parents, Gunnar and I had to prepare for what would be the best and worst day of our lives. After 16 hours of labor, We were only given 5 hours to say hello and goodbye to our sweet baby boy, 3 of those 5 hours I still had an epidural and was hooked up to a running IV.

2 weeks ago, my good friend, Taryn, and I were reminiscing on what those 5 hours were like and how devastating it was to know we’d only get a few hours with our baby boy when I was hoping for a lifetime. During this conversation, the CuddleCot was brought up. It was then that I started researching and talking with others about what I could do for our local hospital to be better equipped and how I could bless another family in a time of loss.

For those not aware of what a CuddleCot is, it is a cooling machine that preserves the infant body which allows the parents to be able to spend more cherished time with their baby. This equipment can truly bless a mother and father, as when their time is up, they leave the hospital emptied handed and broken hearted for the rest of their lives. Prolonging this time can be the best gift given to those that want it.

In Memory of Bowen, I am raising funds to donate a CuddleCot to our local hospital’s L&D unit. My goal is to reach the amount of $4,500. Each donation of $25 will be entered to win the 1st & 2nd place prize listed below.
